  • Pre-booking at the Cable Car Ticketing Counter is preferable - show your Hong Kong Pass at the Ngong Ping ticket counter on the day  and choose from available departure times
  • If joining a tour - guests must arrive at the Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal 45 minutes before tour departure
  • Should the first tour be full, guests will be placed on the next available tour
  • Show your Hong Kong Pass at the Ngong Ping 360 Ticketing Office to redeem your tour ticket

  • The cable car journey stretches 5.7-kilometre (3.5 mi) and takes approximately 25 minutes
  • Ngong Ping is home to the Po Lin monastery and Big Buddha
  • At 34m (including the podium), the Big Buddha is the tallest seated bronze Buddha statue in the world
  • Prior to the Ngong Ping cable car, the only way to reach the monastery and Big Buddha was via a mountain road and bus service
